The Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene

territory

One of Italy’s most fascinating and prestigious wine-growing landscapes.

Here, vine cultivation is much more than an agricultural activity: it represents culture, identity, and respect for nature. The uniqueness of these hills, shaped by human work over the centuries, was recognised in 2019 with their inclusion among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The distinctive climate conditions, the ideal exposure of the vineyards, and the extraordinary biodiversity make this area the cradle of Prosecco Superiore D.O.C.G., an authentic expression of a territory that combines excellence, sustainability, and tradition.

LEGEND

Our Vineyards

The grape varieties cultivated on our estate have been carefully selected according to the characteristics of the soil, the local climate, and, above all, the specific areas where the vineyards are located.
Our vineyards are situated in the province of Treviso, within the municipalities belonging to the Valdobbiadene D.O.C.G. area.

col castellon

Col Castellon represents one of the most significant hills in the Colbertaldo area, characterised by a steep slope entirely covered with vineyards up to its summit. At the top of the hill stands a cross, renewed in 2012 by the Colbertaldo Alpine Group and the local Pro Loco association, a symbol of the history and identity of this place. From this unique vineyard plot comes our Castellon, a prestigious wine that embodies the distinctive characteristics of the territory and its winemaking vocation.

collalto

Our vineyards extend across the hills of Collalto, in a territory characterised by sedimentary soils, excellent exposure, and natural drainage. The alternation of vineyards, woodlands, and agricultural areas contributes to the environmental balance, while the pedoclimatic conditions support quality viticulture and enhance the distinctive characteristics of each individual plot.

The Unique Features of Our Territory

hogback

The territory features a distinctive geomorphological formation known as “hogback”, characterised by narrow and steep ridges running in an east-west direction and separated by small parallel valleys. Within this complex landscape, human activity has developed over time through a continuous process of adaptation, leading to the shaping of the slopes and the evolution of agricultural techniques for vine cultivation.

ciglion

A significant example of territorial adaptation is represented by the ciglione, a distinctive form of terracing that uses grass-covered earth instead of stone. This technique, historically widespread between the 16th and 17th centuries, contributes to slope stability and reduces soil erosion, proving to be an effective solution even today, especially in the steepest areas.

paesaggio a mosaico

The work of generations of small-scale winegrowers has helped shape a rich and complex agricultural landscape, often described as a “mosaic”. It is a territory divided into numerous small vineyard plots, alternating with woodlands and uncultivated areas, which together create a natural balance and an ecological network capable of providing important ecosystem services.
